Highlighting the importance of peace in Christian life, in resonance with Pope Benedict XVI, and the role of the laity in spreading the Gospel, as realized through Opus Dei, and that God himself is peace- Bishop Javier EchevarrÃa noted that Pope John Paul the Second declared the starting of Opus Dei by Saint Josemaria Escriva', to be divinely inspired in Ut Sit. This speech by the Bishop was to celebrate the recent 80th anniversary of the founding of Opus Dei, founded on the 2nd of October 1928.
