How to view our tempting, how to comprehend our suffering, we who cry from all ends of the earth in anguish, and utterance of hoping suffering, and ut

(Journey in a Broken World)

Article by Marc Aupiais

I am drunk it seems, drunk not with alcohol, but with an insanity not my own. I know my actions are illogical, but it seems as I am powerless against them- that I shall fall, and I do.

Darkness merged with darkness, time stood still, around me something uncomfortable fills my sides, a black oil enters me, and surrounds me. I am drowning, as my heart bleeds, and turns to stone, heavy stone, like a constant pain.

Terror overcomes me, fear mixed in a sunset cocktail of ancient horror and terror. The trap surrounds me, as I shiver, and weep inside, and scream inside. Death itself enters me, and it seems- as though by my actions themselves- I pray to the devil- for his will to be done in the world. To the world my sin is small, non-existent, non-issues, healthy, sane, good- whatever it is. To me, I know I have failed, as clouds cover the heavens, and the sun becomes the color of black marble, and the yellow, orange, and green skies turn into a cocktail of terror.

Is this not what sin does to us, does it not create a deep gash in our chests, where our heart is, or affect our stomach, like a sickness, or like a dead beating heart in our throat like a rotten apple?

I do not exaggerate, by explaining the spiritual process of sin, but treat it as it is, as real as the physical, as solid, as rock solid as reality as the solid is.

And so, from all the earth we weep, and cry, our sackcloth a much sought out commodity, and yet is there any to comfort the sinner, or any who comfort all who have sinned, and broken their life, their soul- so that lava-like fiery scars cover their heart like veins? Indeed, to be sane, and in the state of mortal sin is a new horror for many a Catholic, to realize where they are and the horror of what they have done...

Immediately you may promise, and then without thought repeat your actions, the strongest oaths worth nothing to influence you.

Many now realize the power of the sacrament, they attend confession, and saturate the entire roster, with their presence, they go to church every Sunday and feast day, as God desired, and they live on the sacrament in their spirit. Both are good, and yet, when will the onslaught end. The stronger we get, the stronger the temptation. Our prayers only give us temporary safety, even hours worth of these, and our horrors become aeviternal scars. In fact, we will never be permitted to do away with sacrament, so long as we still live in the trials of the temporary plain, we cannot do without church on days of obligation, or confession at least once a year, but we can indeed even dare to say- conquer sin

Without the sacrament we are no-where in conquering sin, we must conquer it from within or not at all.

To stop sinning, we must become sane- and that is a horror. We start with the weeping within when our form commits a regular habit of sin, or acts like a mindless mythical creature. We start as we feel the horror of a mother who has lost her favorite child to a merciless, ruthless, unblinking, non-sleeping enemy. Darkness, like a mist thicker than blood- it covers us in our sin, and our energy in drained, our hope dying.

And so- we must determine to stop sinning immediately, not the day before our next confession, but today- and we must tell the priest everything needed inside the confessional. We must give him what we need in order to be healed by this spiritual warrior doctor, this... priest.

We must also vow to try never to sin again, and avoid, occasions of sin- if they be people, we may give them opportunity to change- but firstly value our own soul- saving another is never guaranteed. We then must use truth to set us free, even as we already have started via confession, on this long, winding dark path in the dusk of life- the dark just behind, the day ahead- walking in dusk- we race to find the ever-moving light. Indeed, the light is static, yet we must run to catch up, and will never reach it unless it invites us to join it. I know this- I have chased it countless times, and never reached it. I was spiritually exhausted, and losing water, yet my journey after the light was stunted, and I was barely alive by the time it reached me, specters of the night behind me, chasing me.

In fact, the night I sensed before my complete reversion- this was the lies and dangers of the world, of what in my dreams took the form of a deadly, ever-moving snake, which I aptly named kosmos (world). It seemed, I was only attempting to control the world, to fight it, and grapple, catch, or grab its neck to stop it biting me, but my accomplice in my dreams never gave up, and I never conquered it for good. This is how the world often acts, is it not- we try to control our lives, so that we are not hurt, in our small amounts- we compete to protect our forms, and fight like insane depraved wild creatures- to save our lives every time. Indeed, we should be so zealous for our lives, but what is our life, but our soul. That is the literal meaning of soul- breath is it not?

Kosmos still haunts me when I sin, his strength and size grow with my sins, and reduce to nothing with my consistent righteousness. He scared me allot, this phantom of dreams, often I would wake up sweating, even screaming. The reality of this, which is only a dream character- is so exemplified in a real snake I once found in my house, while walking bare-foot up my stairs, and over the small, angry, pitiable creature.

Our sin is like an external being, if we play with it, it only bites us and fills our veins with venom- which kills us. We must realize more than cautiously, more than boldly, in a complete infusion of belief- any desire to sin is a deception.

We must then look deep- to see what our actual need and want is- is it desire for freedom, to finally reveal the truth, to be good, to be successful, to be loved, or to love, to be accepted, to feel safe, or be comforted, or in comfort, or to comfort others, or be doing something of much purpose in living our gold dusted existence- in the darkness of our world? Whatever it is, we must find the natural desire, and decide to strengthen it, so as to chance away kosmos, our sin inducing snake. And when we fall- we must use the sacrament, no vow, no prayer, no hope can save us apart from the sacrament or its ghostly counterpart- whereby we would seek it if we knew of it, yet seek and obey truth as be it we can- real truth, not "defined" truth.

We must realize- Christ descended to our level, and went through temptation. How are we to gain our merit certificate, our crown, if we do not overcome an enemy. We are to see any temptation as an opportunity to prove ourselves, to grow our self, by conquering our sin- through self control, choice, and then finding our actual desire, likely with some aid of prayer- and kicking out the evil one by manifesting this desire, either at its rawest form, or else in another manifestation- which is healthy, and different. What is good- that is in the power and strength of God, so far as it is so, and preserves itself through goodness!

Journey in a Borken world- the intriguing embarrassed redness, the conscience of the masses

(Journey in a Broken world)

Article by Marc Aupiais

Embarrassment is fear at its core, whether prompted by love or desire for success. It is the fear that we wont get what we desire. I have felt this before, mostly involving possible future feminine sides (girls I like or have liked), and sometimes I enjoyed embarrassment, and embarrassing myself quite publicly, and morally we must also may add, for conscience sake.

When watching movies, or television, I still wish I could lift the blanket or pillow above my head in an embarrassing scene, or when someone does something wrong or stupid, or naive. I even sometimes leave the room, I die of embarrassment for a character, or someone I do not know, and often have to check the source of my feelings, whether anger, or love, and to realize they are not mine, but another's, reflected in invisible empathy- so that I also feel this.

Embarrassment, is a function of survival, when one goes red, and friends point it out, one knows one has either done something one considers risky socially or something that is a societal "sin" of sorts. We do not get embarrassed when we are secure in our situation, rather- it is the environment of the overly bold, or those who feel stupid as though doing wrong. When no one is around, and it is not so in telling the priest- when I sin, I feel such embarrassment. I know that sin never does good- but hurts myself and others, even that which only lives within the mind of a man, or in secret. Our secrets are broadcast in the spiritual, and when in mortal sin, and loving it- a certain type of person would radiate towards me, when secretly in sin, another, when ashamed of sin, another, and when saintly, if I say so myself- another still.

People know our sins, I often read them in faces- or body language. When another has conscience working, we know they are doing wrong- because their body language, and that feel, that emotive power says so. Without conscience, it takes listening to intuitive truth or reality, to realize another is wrong.

The bible says we should be ashamed of our sins, and shame is embarrassment, is it not. In fact, and I have it verified in England and Canada- it is a South African thing- to say shame to someone who is embarrassed, out of empathy. Shame and embarrassment go hand in hand. Whether through physical evil- that which risks our physical form, or moral evil- that which destroys our spiritual source of life, our soul. Shame indeed- is fear of rejection, which is dangerous to our evolutionary form.

Moral evil in the end, destroys the physical, and so we feel shame for our sins.

In the mists of time, we feel unsafe, we feel safe, when we see things all around, we love clearness, but are fascinated by mystery. It is the joy of facing fears that makes walking into the mists of time and space so fascinating. It is doing what is mentally healthy that we enjoy so much. The sin of vanity, this is what it is- it is the seeking of embarrassment, of what should be the emotion of conquering fear, and yet- embarrassment is a healthy reminder- of what our mind says is risky. Sometimes it is healthy to overcome, but never when it is against God.

Ultimately, what embarrasses us is not to be ignored, but taken into account- it tells us of how we view our world and surrounds. Having taken our emotion's advice- we then must take our intuition's advice, and listening carefully to intuition, while telling it what we have discovered- which delicately tells us if we should obey or disobey the warning of our fear of shame.

Chastity South Africa- The small freedom I guarentee you, that which we die for, and give our life to

(Chastity South Africa)

Article by Marc Aupiais

I am walking in the thick snow, by the edge of movement. I look up, seeing a small red bird, and am wondering at the soul of it. Perhaps I tossed and turned, I do not know, all I remember is what I describe, and perhaps more- but not the context. The bird made small noises and I truly wondered- are you aeviternal? I did not know what aeviternal meant, but still I wondered- at the concept I did not comprehend as yet... nor did I use the blessed word aeviternal for it, something more like fully alive!

I looked to the side, the snow was moving, there was an avalanche of sorts, I guess. I walked towards it, I was on the top of the mountain now, and I took something sparkling, something shining, like a fire perhaps from the cold snow. It was golden in form, though not too cold or dead, I think, it was a secret.

I would have awoken and written a poem in my diary about the experience, or perhaps I was awake, and the idea simply entered my mind, a scary idea- of being there on that mountain- simply surrounded in chaos, in death, and diving deep into it to save something important, and leaving once I had.

The golden piece was a woman's soul, that was the meaning, and I was sent there- to the danger to save her, or so I had thought when contemplating the odd poetic thought.

We have a task in our world, and when we achieve it, or fail- we are to turn into dust and fly upon the wind until we come to face the truth, with pain or joy, or any sort of reacting.

We save our fellows physically, but also with more than this. True freedom is freedom to be our deepest being, to become what we truly are. What we truly are is never evil- that is what we think we are, and what we think we are desires to imprison who we are. We think to quickly that we hate, or desire evil on others, or to do wrong. Our evil shadow does, and we sin by treating this as ours- and that is why we confess our sins, but every sin is self delusion, every sin is a lie, and malicious lies even the smallest destroy all things.

So, Jesus came into our world to undo the Devil's work, not God's law, not morality, not the power of the conscience of the soul- no- he came not to change the requirements of salvation- but to save us from his enemy- to slavery to thoughts, and desires- we only think falsely as our own.

When I truly gained self control- it was by seeing sin as foreign to my self.

I also need the sacrament, and to realize the choice is mine- and the power so strongly desiring evil- it is not the devil- but me allowing my desires to misfire, and believing something is my desire when it is not. This is where faith saves us- where realization of true, whole reality- and this is what faith is- saves.

We are to calm our souls- and undress our pride to around our knees. We are to lower our souls, and step back from our body, and feel calmness within- we are to notice our emotions, but detach from them, and hear them as voices- as guides, advisors, and competitors, and with each, call it aside like a pet sparrow. We must hold it on our hand and speak to it, and ask who it is, and who its parents are- until we realize our true desire. When one realizes the true desire, beyond the good or evil form- one can choose how to manifest it, and we may only sanely choose what is good- least we fool ourselves. We must focus on the source of our desire. It is something in reality- something we want or do not want, some warning, or some chilling fearful realization. Emotions are like intuition, they tell us about ourselves, and how we read what is.

Jesus came to cause us life forever- and life to the fullness- not in events- but in who we stand to be and become- not in appearances, but in our depths, and aching organs. By prayer, belief, trust, obedience, and by philosophy (the literal meaning of this), the love of truth- we shall find right.

Philosophy is the seeking of the source of things, so that we can admit their source. Theology and philosophy are not one, but in the virtue of self control- seeing what our source emotion is, our real situation- that below the misfiring- we can concentrate on it, and strengthen it- breaking the icy stranglehold of the chains of slavery to sin- simply by inflating the righteous desire we truly feel- which evil has stolen, hijacked and twisted.

Like a beast loosed on the town, with something tied to it to cause it panic- evil loves to look at our weaknesses, the desires we keep under- the righteous ones below the evil the manifest- and to set these into a slight spinning of tissue- so that we fall vastly out of control- like a wild black horse rampaging through a small desert town.

Such a beast desires comfort, but to it- it thinks it desires to throw off the thing holding it, or else- that it hates those it sees, as it causes damage, like in madness.

Truly, to conquer the sin beneath, at the source- and to throw the soul into balance, by admitting our true desires, and believing them- we in fact calmly stop rampaging, and can logically remove what captivates us. Like the horse we need help, not from people who would use us to slave for their tasks, but from one who values our freedom, but more than that our sanity, without which freedom is worthless, and without morals, we are not in perfect sanity.

Our source of freedom, is like a fence the horse goes to in the end, where a young boy quietly frees his and sends him off. Our freedom is in seeking the true, deepest source of our desires, and then also in the salvation wrought by the sacrament, and by the church which helps solidify our efforts, and truly puts our soul (our current aeviternal form, which is like the battery, and animator of our every essence of being, flesh, blood, and living part) right, even as we are more than encouraged to fix our body, which includes our mind.

We are more than conquerers, when fighting evil with truth, and goodwill, we are soldiers, centurions, with a clear avatar, and emblem on our shields and on our souls- the silver and gold emblem of sanity, upon the platinum shield of truth, and morality.

The perfection of sanity and morality are one and the same, for to be truly moral is to be truly sane, and sanity is the mind's state which does what our mother church defines as moral, in tradition and magisterium. Let us fight our sin, by converting our desires into what they truly are, and ourselves also- and by prayer, power, love, empathy- and the realization infinite- that unwarranted mercy to oppressors, is unjust persecution of the oppressed.

Justice- the spray of the tide of life- that which we die for, and desire- should it break the marble flaw of existence

(Journey in a Broken World)

Mercy to oppressors is cruelty to the oppressed, perhaps we need explain it...

Even a butterfly's wings can cause a storm, any fragment of good can affect all, and even a whispered lie one does not even say influences the world for evil. We may not say it, but still it affects the culture of our soul. Sometimes it is murder not to kill, sometimes it is kidnapping not to restrain an aggressor- this is the premise, the foundation of law.

We live in a spiritual and physical world, and what happens in the physical can be amplified 100 times in the spiritual, and the spiritual itself inebriates all in the physical. All is connected, and God considers actions in big and small, even lack of actions- of equal importance in judging us, so far as their species says what our soul is. Some actions cause a huge gash in our soul, and these need treatment should we desire not to die, others will heal with time, and the pain of antiseptic. God's name is Reality- and he judges by what is- and that is why we say we cause our own judgment- for he but keeps the mold to our soul- our actions cause the damage and goodness- he just places us where we are best to place, and renovates when like some animals- we open ourselves to healing, and destroys when we open our chest to destruction. He does what we cause him to, to cross him is to walk into fire, it is as though he were an area, a scene in a forest, which we choose to interact with. If we choose to scrape our hands on thorns, it is our choice, should we find the cure to the cut, also ours. God does not change- we choose where to live in our forest, our relationships with the Almighty.

Now, this spiritual, it is more solid than the physical, its substance more precise, more defined, like a marble statue, carved with laser light- it is exacting and eternal. Once it has been molded, it will last forever. To spare an evil man is to encourage his behavior- this is why God does not forgive, even through confession- should we not repent of our sins. And we too sin if we let evil go unpunished when we may legitimately punish wrong. A good motto is Justice not charity- it says what helping the weak truly entails- it recognizes that our freedom is not given us without a price. We have no option but to intervene against evil, or we shall have become what we do not appose- depraved madmen who do things any sane right minded person would be ashamed of.

With our actions, we help our neighbors to carve their own statues, their forms in which their existence after the carving has stopped- will remain as forever.

When we do not take a stance for human dignity- when we do not defend the dignity, even of those who willingly allow theirs to be abused- we are guilty of helping them to carve a misshapen shell in which they, like hermit crabs- will live in forever.

Justice resonates, it fills one's entire form- Wrath is the excess, or lack of correct justice, too much, or too little action is evil. We sin with what we do, but how much worse by what we neglect to do?

Let us always aim at truth, seeking it, obeying it, recognizing it and treating all things as they are. There is no such thing as conversion, or repentance, or hope, or salvation, apart from God. We can only win our conquest by his side- and so let us fight in his way- so as not to see him leave for another battle, and ride into the distance without our hope.

Every small justice will change the world, so far as it is tactical, and wise. Evil is indeed affected by a good example, and good people can do good indirectly, via their influence on the souls of evil men and people. Until evil changes- should we be the bad doctor who lies to his patient and to the world about a condition still present? Without necessity, we should not reveal another's sins and weaknesses- but let us not cause harm, and be guilty of sin through silence when justice demands a voice.

May God bless us with true kindness, but let our kindness, and our justice, our mercy, and our plenty- all be in healthy proportion, controlled by reasonable reason and sanity. Let us put all in its place- and know that both mercy and justice are love acting in different conditions. The sin lies in giving mercy when love gives justice, or justice, when love demands mercy. Mercy is justice, it is due, perhaps not by another's goodness- but by acting so as to change them, or do some small good, or it does not do good. When it does good, we also sometimes let go of justice for a while, but we must be cautious in matters of justice.

Journey in a Broken world- Jesus, Mary and the big communication accident at the temple

(Journey in a Broken World)

Article by Marc Aupiais

In vain we could look for historic texts about Mary flying around in the gray, dusky, dust-filled middle-eastern sky, yet somehow this never seems to appear, which may sadden some, but now that she is a saint- she can at least manifest herself anywhere!

When she was still alive, and probably in her late teens or early twenties, the immaculate mother of humanity, through Christ- had an interesting experience, so interesting that it is in the rosary.

We can imagine as a shot of horror enters her veins, and the middle-eastern sun stands somewhere in the dusky, or maybe daylight sky.

There would have likely been a quick frenzy, maybe even desperate prayers, and concern over what could ever have happened. Maybe Mary cries, even weeped as she realized her mistake, and that of her Husband, Saint Joseph.

We often forget, not only couldn't Mary fly, and that she didn't wear a blue and red suit with underwear on the outside (quite inappropriate for a woman or man), but dearest mother Mary, also made mistakes, and errors of judging situations, even assumptions.

Mary never once sinned, but she did make mistakes, and this is not only shocking, but beautiful. God's mother, the ultimate female icon of holiness, never once sinned, nor was disappointing to God, and yet, at that moment, when she began to realize the desperate horror that a mother feels at having lost her child, she was human, so utterly human.

Christ also, when he had been left by his parents, and was sitting, listening to the teachers in the temple, had also made a mistake. He was God, and yet God allowed himself to do something which his own parents disapproved of, and yet this was not sin. It was God's choice to not have all knowledge, but only that required for our salvation, and his choice also to allow an unwinding of the dark path of life, so that the trickling of streams and rivers amplified this fact.

Jesus and his parents did not communicate as they should have, both made wrong assumptions, or something like such- both were not sinning in their assumptions, both made mistakes.

Now, it may seem to cheapen my often extravagantly poetic style by mentioning a popular culture figure such as Super Man, and yet this is the ultimate man in our culture's eyes- he is indestructible, can't feel pain, makes no real mistakes, and wears his underwear on the outside, as though mocking us normal people.

Mary, our role model- she cries, she makes mistakes, and she is powerless to prevent her son from being subjected to an unjust killing, and humiliated. She is nearly divorced by a husband who wants to do the right thing, by a husband who is rightly a saint, and yet misjudged the very Mother of God. The divorce itself would have been from an unconsummated marriage, and not from a sacramental union.

Jesus, also- he weeps in public, and associated with what many consider still today to be societal slum, and yet he was weak and compassionate around these. And remember- it is he who didn't follow his parents from the temple towards their earthly home!

The true powers of both Jesus and Mary- as exemplified in the Finding in the temple- lies not in superpowers, but in absolute humanity. They could make every mistake as people, every assumption, every communication lapse- but they never once willfully did wrong, and never once purposely rebelled against God.

A mistake and a sin, are not the same. As far as our salvation was concerned, neither Jesus, nor Mary once ever sinned, and yet- while utterly immaculate, both could disagree with each other. The wedding at Canaan, or the finding in the temple both show this- and in both circumstances- our foundation chooses to obey his Mother- God who knows all- submits to a perfectly human, even though perfect in every way- flesh and blood virgin woman.

Let us delve deep into this mystery, as though breathing into fresh air, or scooping deep into a creamy ice-cream.

Neither Jesus or Mary ever sinned, what they did and chose to do was always perfect so far as morals and doctrine are concerned- but so far as worldly wisdom, both were capable of learning from utterly real communication lapses or even mistakes.

Texas- Traditionalist Anglicans start to view the Roman Pastures positively, step into Tiber (Tiber: river one crosses to enter rome)

(Journey In a Broken World; c.f. Catholic Culture; Dallas News)

Article by Marc Aupiais

A Conservative, and traditionalist- "Episcopal"(Anglican) diocese in Texas is preparing to allow large groups within to in a structured manner- enter the Catholic church.

Ironically this is with their Bishop's approval, and more so is that some think this odd, and are quoted as though this weren't an obvious denial, or transfer of their stated faith.

A notation by inter-religious institute "First Things", recently stated that many conservative Protestants feel they have more in common with Conservative Catholics than with their own religion, so perhaps they believe the most Anglican thing to be is Catholic at a stage when the Anglicans further alter what they once believed true.

Just under a century ago- the Anglicans ("Lambeth Conference") were apparently the first church to permit contraception.

Anglicans have always stated they are "Reformed Catholics", but mostly this is said as though they had found better pastures- this particular church group is one vote away from a sort of incorporation into Mother Church, we wish them good luck and God speed in this!

Overcoming sin- and the natural which has been twisted into evil by evil!

(Journey in a Broken World; Chastity South Africa; South African Catholic)

Article by Marc Aupiais

Often- when evil tries to overcome me- I have a method which works- I try to see what desire has been twisted by evil against me. Pure evil doesn't exist- it only has power in twisting good.

Now- when it is pride- we realize the true emotion twisted is love of God, and care of self, and self esteem in proportion- realizing this- we endorse the true desires- and when evil is weak enough, or rather- when the good still is fighting- then this rids us of the evil, which somehow withers and dies.

We need firstly to change the evil desire into the good one- to straighten the broken tree's stem, to fix a broken spinal cord, through forcing the broken back into the place it is meant to exist!

Now, sometimes this does not work- and so we sit- trying to wait out the evil of sin- and fight strong desires, as though we were fighting a disease. Unfortunately, of human force alone, such force not always works- we tire quickly and are met again when weaker- which is why often sacraments are such power- and the realization that we can wait it out... in this, however we tire- and often start asking God in prayer- why we cannot have the evil wish we desire, even ask for lifting of the moral obligation- for some excuse to be doing good. Evil has no substance, except in that which is good.

In this- we feel almost electric power, and irritation enter us- as we either give into it, and find we are weaker the next skirmish, or else- try our hardest, and find we have already fallen- or manage to get through it, desperately praying- knowing it will come back again, having weakened us sufficiently.

At this point- we realize that the true desire- ours for whatever it is has ceased to be, or if it hasn't- we perhaps have tried very hard to feed the true desire which has been twisted, and justly we have tried to fight the other- and as yet have not succeeded. Now- if we resist, we are given the grace to do so- but surely- how do we win..?

The desire below is natural- it is ours, is it not- but this other desire- where does it come from, is it not the mutation of the desire we truly have, or had- is it not alien, foreign..?

We are fighting a desire, which is not natural, for sin is insanity, and is not ours- it is alien- so why should we at all be obligated to follow something that is neither sane, nor ours. We calmly must determine not to follow it- to say no to it- and to lower ourselves in our souls. We then begin to pray about this foreign desire within- to saints such as Philomena- and give our bodies over to them to cure, all the while determined to attend the next possible confession.

We realize the desire is not ours- and so we ignore it- like an aggressive tyrant without any power. It is not ours, it is not of our self... it is foreign, and we reject it utterly.

In this- we acknowledge not only the foreignness of this desire- but also the natural desire below, which has been mutated, and we determine to live in better balance with this and to admit it as truth, as truth will set you free. Of course- if our world-view is wrong, if we believe that those things forbidden by Mother Church are natural- then we might as well not even attempt to fight- we must win through submittal to morality and to truth- as the natural means.

Only evil tries to justify that actings of man which are not natural, nor sane.

Good attempts to cure them, or to manage them so as to stop evil triumphing.
That which is moral- is the boundary and fullness of that which is natural.

Overcoming lust- a secret guide from Chastity South Africa

(Chastity South Africa)

Article by Marc Aupiais

Firstly- let us define lust(c.f. note)-

this is the seeking of sexual pleasure apart from either its unitive or its procreative properties. I.e. anything outside of a marriage between one man and one woman- who are open to life in their actions.

Natural Family Planning is included in this- chastity that is (so long as it isn't for selfish reasons)- as it follows natural patterns and is natural- and actually asked of the Israelites in Levitical Law (Leviticus chapter 15 verse 24)and therefore is not lust...

Now, when we lust- sometimes we focus on the form of the body- but Michael Angelo's David is not evil or pornographic- nor much of Christian art. That made to incite lust- or viewed to incite lust, or which shows what should be a private act to the world becomes sinful- and lust- but lust is not an interest in the sexual form- rather- what is sinful is to look at anything with the intent of doing a lustful action with it. Jesus notes this when he says looking at a woman with lust is adultery.

So- how does one overcome it- well- one can be freed from it in confession- but every sin is still a risk- what we- since writing on all sin as insanity- have realized- is that lust is the twisting of a good, natural, God given desire into something evil- whenever we are tempted in lust- we must look deep, and ask why- what causes it- is it the desire to marry a beautiful lady (or man for the ladies), or to enjoy our marriage one day- but not now, or the desire for marriage or for self esteem, which has been twisted. Endorse the desire below in a godly manner- and the lust should disappear.

Remember- if we don't endorse sinful thoughts- but fight them- we hold no guilt for these- instead- when we come to our senses- we must immediately look into why, determine to confess and stop our sin- and see what role we played in it to prevent another occurance- often something caused us to fall- we need either to avoid it if it is sinful- or in a safe environment- alter these internal perceptions that cause goodness to prevent right perception and lead to sin.

Lust is always misperception of another as a tool to cure an unsatisfied desire- or else to use any tool to satisfy sexual desire without the unitive and pro-creative properties both present...

If we satisfy the root desire which has been twisted, or abused by the devil into lust- the good one- not the evil one- whether the desire to show affection, or to gain self esteem, or that for something pleasurable (though of the pleasure of praying?- but generally a desire for pleasure comes from loneliness), or a desire for companionship... if we do so in a Godly manner- lust cannot survive, as we push it out and satisfy the plant this weed tries to cling to... and destroy the heinous weed of lust...

In all of these- the saints all hear and desire to be our guides and companions- loneliness is a terrible thing- but God intended us for happiness- and he is the first step to gaining companions- and love, and truth- for every friend we lose for him- he pays us back a million times in this world and the next- now this is what the bible says- of renouncing evil...

So- when lust tries to take you- start to pray to a saint- be sure to ask why you desire this- and do not listen to sinful excuses- look below and endorse the desire you have neglected- which evil is taking advantage of- and ask yourself what you would do if a Godly person were to see your actions and be dismayed- would you hide them- or does your mind reply-

"who cares- that is their problem"

Now, if one says this- and this is of a Godly person- and one is not saying- I will prevail in good nonetheless- because we are speaking of a Godly person- nor are we saying- I will try help them understand- because this is us speaking of what sinful and such a reply is not appropriate.

In this scenario, are we justifying our actions- or are we concerned as to heal our neighbor from perceiving us as evil? Now this only is when our neighbor is Godly.

So often- when in sin- the church and saints look scary- and we turn from them, or think chastity is impossible- or that we must only do this or that to prove we are not in lust- but the saints and the sacrament of penance (Gospel of John chapter 20 verse 23) are often our only recourse- and not sinning is always an option to us children of truth- God promised strength in temptation if we choose his path.

Remember- acting in lust, such as foreplay, like French Kissing outside of marriage (c.f. Saint Thomas Aquinas- Summa Theologica- "Parts of Lust"), makes the body believe another is your spouse- after-all- God created us for marriage- not lust- and so it thinks you cruel to do otherwise- unless you strictly discipline it. I have also seen men wearing women's clothing- even Catholics- this too is lust, or at least provoking others to it- to which on seeing such people- I have made a cruel* joke to them before- to demonstrate that they are aiding sins along... however much fun they are having being silly at events- it is the same sort of events for which God desecrated the people of Canaan- and asked the Israelites to stone such men. Wearing women's clothing is only acceptable with a valid reason- such as fleeing enemies...

Overcoming lust by self mortification- fasting and thinking of what one has done, or hurting one's self in tactical ways while thinking of one's sin, or smelling something horrid while thinking of one's sin- or placing one's feet in hot (not dangerously so)water- while thinking of what one has done- and then also confessing it- whether thoughts or actions- truly can destroy lust or many other sins quite quickly- and Pavlo's dog agrees.

Self mortification is not strange- in fact- Catholics are required to abstain from meat (not fish- but also from expensive fish and shellfish)on Fridays- although some Dioceses have permitted this to be supplemented with charitable actions on Fridays outside of Lent, where it is generally compulsory.

Once one overcomes sin-

From that point on- prayer- and the trick of finding what desire has been twisted into evil, along with the constant threat of mortification- and an understanding of whether an action is selfish or not- and constant desire to ask the saints for help can aid tremendous amounts... remember also- that reading a Catholic bible, or Godly Catholic article, or prayer- and determining to hear God, and wait this sin out can also aid. Never think something odd is necessary- always follow intuition and God- and be careful when passions and emotion takes you- try to ask why it is so- and if the reason is just- by all means allow emotion- but let the rational mind rule- and always remember how strict, but merciful God is- he condemns a good man who turns evil in his last years, and forgives a prostitute who has just confessed to the priest, and repented (or who has determined to join the faith- whereby it would take a while until her first confession).

Remember- the church is your doctor- your priest your spiritual healer- he is bound to secrecy in confession.

Note: this article covers the Catholic view. No insult is meant to non-Catholics- however- as a Catholic news service- we should be expected to speak sometimes in Catholic Jargon- and not have the same view of words as others.

* I simply pointed out to the people I spoke to- that their actions might be cruel to those who would be affected by it, something as straight persons, such as I also am- they would not desire- I in no way was mean to them- but often people don't realize the impact they could have, and the hurt they could cause those in sin- or with evolutionary lacks that cause them not to desire certain things that the advancement of the species requires- and I enjoy humour as a tool to aid people. To me this action is on level with harming others like tempting someone who compulsively steals- as my morality sees such actions as wrong- even as the mind may be affected to desire wrong things- I think tempting another into what my church calls a mortal sin is also wrong- especially when done by those not under such.
