Fortunately, as an Anglican, she likely has no apostolic line, and as a woman, she certainly has no apostolic line, so it wasn't actually Jesus that the dog ate. Isn't there a parable about giving things to dogs and pigs? In any case, the situation upset Anglicans and Catholics alike, and the apology was not for the act itself. Fortunately even Anglicans are insulted by such sacrilege.
