"Barack Hussein Obama ", the "US " ("United States of America ") "President": who has, allegedly, according to pro-"life" press initiatives: filled much of his cabinet, with pro-"abortion " candidates, rather than those best suited for the job, and thus: has also failed to appoint officially; an ambassador to the "Vatican": which refused, according to the BBC all his "pro"-"abortion" candidates for ambassador so far: has finally been hit slightly by the efforts of those apposing what could possibly be an article 2, section d genocide ("future population clause" of "UN " ("United Nations "' declaration , by which "Genocide" is prosecuted: c.f. "analysis" / "letter:" "Social Justice South Africa" archive 14 / 03 (March) / 2009 ): he has now said that a bill: taking away the need for parental consent, and doctors' rights to object (in line with a direct forbidding of abortion in the "Hippocratic Oath "): to performing "abortions": is not a "top priority".

To Quote "Reuters":

"Asked about the Freedom of Choice Act at Wednesday's news conference, Obama said it "is not the highest legislative priority."

"My view on ... abortion, I think, has been very consistent," Obama said. "I think abortion is a moral issue and an ethical issue."

"There are some who suggest that this is simply an issue about women's freedom and that there's no other considerations," he said. "I think, look, this is an issue that people have to wrestle with and families and individual women have to wrestle with."

He is appointing a committee, containing what he says: is both pro-"abortion" and anti-"abortion" persons, purportedly, if the "US" "President" is to be taken at his word, in order to reduce "teenage pregnancies".

"US " ("United States of America ") "President" "Barak Obama ": has recently angered many "Catholics", and others: the choice by "Indiana": "University of Notre Dame " head "Father Jenkins ": to give "Obama" an "honorary" "Law degree", and to have him as "Commencement Speaker" at  "The University Notre Dame ": has gained flack from "US " "Bishops ", including that of his ("Fr John Jenkin"'s), and "University of Notre Dame "'s own "Diocese": against whose regulations he has gone. Bishop "John Michael D'Arcy " of the Diocese of "Fort Wayne-South Bend", "Indiana": this diocese into which "Notre Dame" "University" falls: was among those directly apposing the decision, but other "Bishops": were even more angered. "Notre Dame": means "Our Lady": in "French", referring to "Mary", "Mother of God": who holds the title: is the "Patron Saint of the Unborn".

"Mary Ann Glendon", a "Harvard " "Law" "professor", and the previous "US " "Ambassador" to the "Holy See " ("Vatican "/"Vatican City State"): has recently refused the "Laetare Medal ", the top honour that the "University of Notre Dame " has to offer: due to their choice of honouring "Barak Obama" ("South African Catholic"'s Archive 27 / 04 (April) / 2009). It is not the only "United States " "Catholic" "University": to directly disobey the protocols for "Catholic Institutions": as laid out by the "United States Conference of Catholic Bishops " ("USCCB ").

"United States " "President" "Barack Obama " turned heads: when he voted to allow "infanticide" in failed "abortions", prior becoming "president"; his promises to "Planned Parenthood": an "Abortions" firm; and due to his multiple, radical statements for "Abortion ", and for his odd choice of "Cabinet".

Much has been achieved, much needs to be done. In the 2009 election, the real victory belongs to all the South Africans who voted. The voting turn-out deserves celebration. It is a powerful sign of how a democratic culture has taken hold of our national consciousness. Congratulations South Africa! The last 15 years have seen an ongoing miracle in our country. Many people have benefited from housing and services, social grants and education. Our economy has grown for six straight years. Much has been achieved, much remains to be done. "Mary Ann Glendon", a "pro-life", "anti"-"abortion" "Catholic", a "Harvard" "law" professor, and former "US" ("United States of America") ambassador to the "Vatican" ("Holy See"/"Vatican State") under "Republican" "George W. Bush": has, after a long period: declined to receive an honour (their "Laetare Medal") from the "University of Notre Dame": the former ambassador: seems angered by "Notre Dame" head: "Father Jenkins"'s choice to honour "US" "President" "Barak Obama": who is known for his support of "infanticide", and "abortion", and for his party's attempts: to allegedly twist "Catholic" teachings in their favor: despite the opposition of many "US" "Catholic Bishops", and against their protocols on "Catholic Institutions", honouring those who support that fundamentally apposed as "immoral" by the "Catholic" church.

"Obama" is giving a commencement speech and being honored with an honorary "Law degree". Many "American Bishops", including that of the diocese into which "Notre Dame" falls: have lambasted the decision, which ignores protocols: forbidding the honoring in such manner: of those who support abortion, or other such things intrinsically against "Catholic" moral fibre.

"Mary Ann Glendon" was especially concerned by press from the "University": claiming that she would balance things out. She has been praised by the "Cardinal Newman Society" for her choice: amongst others.

See What We See news Archive: Prince "Charles" and "Camilla" see the pope

Infamous, apparently, for allegedly "cheating" on the Late "Princess Diana": a woman popular with the people of "England": Prince "Charles", and "Camilla"; met the pope this "Sunday". According to protocol: "Charles" ("the Prince"): who had visited "Pope John Paul II", with "Princess Diana": in 1985, but not since their divorce, nor since her "untimely" death: had to go in first; and privately meet the pope: before "Camilla" (the "duchess") had to enter wearing a black dress and veil, followed by others of the "Royal Household". The "Pope" gave them an "honorary medal", and a drawing of "Saint Peter's Basilica". It seems: that the expected centuries old (from 1530 A.D. ) copy of a request by peers of "Henry VIII": founder of the "Church of England": for an annulment: was not given over, despite prior excitement in the press.

The pope in turn was given plates, and drawings of plants from the couple's estate.

"Catholic" teaching forbids "adultery", and "remarriage" after divorce, while one's spouse is still alive, while allowing for declarations that no marriage seems to have taken place: when there was not necessary factors when the marriage "occurred". "Henry VIII" is famous for killing his wives, who could not give him heirs, and for leaving the "Catholic" church: when it would not allow him to divorce them: the long dead king: founded the "Anglican" church.

With the "Swine Flu"/ "Swine Influenza": ("Pig Flu": "Swine Influenza A": a variation of "H1N1") epidemic spreading, apparently the first of its kind: to spread from human to human: "Mexico"'s government has shut down many events and parts of cities: shutting down schools and stadiums: as those who could: such as those working in offices: were told to work from home.

"Feria San Marcos", was reportedly stopped in: "Aguascalientes", according to "Reuters": such may be seen as a good thing: by those who consider alcohol, "bull fighting", and folk music to be bad.

According to "Bloomberg": these emergency measures to stop the spread: were implemented with the powers gained after: "Mexico"'s "President": "Felipe Calderon": declared an "emergency"; shutting down schools and Major events. "Museums" and such things: closed voluntarily. The "Swine Flu", starting on "April 13", coincided with the visit of "American" President "Barak Obama": on the 16th of "April": according to "Bloomberg".

On the 25th of April: the "Mexican" "President": said in "Oaxaca", a state of "Mexico":

"The federal government under my charge will not hesitate a moment to take all, all the measures necessary to respond with efficiency and opportunity to this respiratory epidemic,"

The "Roman Catholic" church has followed suite: Church doors, were reportedly closed: the "Mass" was broadcast over the airwaves: television and radio to be precise. Hit by a "war" with the "Drug Cartel", the "economic crisis"/"Credit Crisis", and now with what should be an "animal disease": killing their people: "Mexico"'s "Finance Minister": "Agustin Carstens" claims that the impact of the flu on the economy will only be: what "Reuters" quotes as "transitory".

"Animal diseases": have increasingly spread to human beings: some of the most fatal of these have been "Bird Flu" ("H5N1"), "HIV/AIDS", and now "Swine Flu" ("Swine Influenza A": a variant of "H1N1"). With only 6 ("Six") cases in "Canada", and 20 ("twenty") in the "United States of America" ("USA"): where "Reuters" reports there have yet to be deaths: "Mexico": is hardest hit, by what seems to have its epicenter there: with "Reuters" reporting 103 ("One Hundred and Three") deaths from "Swine Flu" in "Mexico".

The "Mexican" "Ministry of Health" : has noted that the disease usually only gets transmitted from the third week of February (02nd month of the year) to the end of the first week of March (03rd month of the year)("Reuters" (Secular; British; Independent) 24/ 04 (April) / 2009). This spread started in April. Right into the 4th month of the year.

From "Canada": "British Columbia Centre for Disease Control" ("BCCDC"): an agency of the "Canadian": "Provincial Health Services Authority" noted symptoms:

"Symptoms from those seriously ill in Mexico include high fever, headache, eye pain, shortness of breath and extreme fatigue with rapid progression of symptoms to severe respiratory distress in about five days,"

The "CDC" ("Center for Disease Control") of "the United States of America": which has activated its "Emergency Operations Center": has been working with officials from the different infected countries: it notes that "Swine Influenza" is reacting to a certain treatment, and that there are some basic measures to prevent its spread:

"Laboratory testing has found the swine influenza A (H1N1) virus susceptible to the prescription antiviral drugs oseltamivir and zanamivir and has issued interim guidance for the use of these drugs to treat and prevent infection with swine influenza viruses. CDC also has prepared interim guidance on how to care for people who are sick and interim guidance on the use of face masks in a community setting where spread of this swine flu virus has been detected. This is a rapidly evolving situation and CDC will provide new information as it becomes available.

There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.

Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread that way.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.

Influenza is thought to spread mainly person-to-person through coughing or sneezing of infected people.
If you get sick, CDC recommends that you stay home from work or school and limit contact with others to keep from infecting them."

"New York"'s new "Archbishop": goes "media hunting"?:

"New York" "Catholic" Archdiocese' "Archbishop": "Archbishop Timothy Michael Dolan" is making quite a stir among "New York"'s media. An "Associated Press" ("AP") article on him notes: that he not only celebrated "Mass" in an "American" prison: "Bedford Hills Correctional Facility" (where he noted: that for once: parishioners couldn't walk out on his "mass"), but also got into both the: "New York" "Mets"'s and "Yankees"'s broadcast booths: his predecessor: had suggested he support baseball. He's been pushing the case of "Jewish" people, according to "AP", which quotes the ("Jewish") "Anti-Defamation League" ("ADL"), whose "National Director": "Abraham Foxman" "praised" him for his ability: by saying he would make a good "politician" (quote), but was a "representative" for "God". The ("Jewish") "Anti-Defamation League"'s "National Director": seemed almost sad that the "priest" was not a "Politician" ("AP": "Associated press" (American; Secular; Independent) 25 / 04 (April) / 2009 ).

"ADL": "Anti-Defamation League": is a "Jewish" organization: which has consistently attempted to rid "America" of "Christian" influence: according to many "Catholic" Sources:


In 1999 "This Rock" magazine reported on the "ADL"'s "Abraham Foxman": claiming that "anti"-"Semitism" : prevails among average "Catholics"; in attacking statements by: "Father David Yager": of the Vatican: who raised concern about perceived "anti"-"Catholicism" shown "Catholics" by the "Israeli" state: who also noted that it was not only "Anti"-"Semitism" among some "Catholics" which was a concern: but "anti"-"Catholicism" among some "Jews".

The ("Jewish") "Anti-Defamation League" was noted in "April 9" 2003: by the "Catholic League for Civil and Religious Rights": for attacking a statement by: previous "U.S. Secretary of Education Roderick Paige" ("Catholic League" (Catholic; Independent; American) 2003 Annual Report): where the government official, had told a "Baptist" publication: that he would prefer to have a child in a school where the values of "the Christian community" (quote) are in his opinion kept,and where "strong faith" (quote) is "taught" (quote). "Abraham Foxman": claimed in 2005: that "Christian" groups: were attempting to "Christianize" education to "save us" (quote) ("Catholic League" (Catholic; Independent; American) 05 / 11  (November) / 2005).

In 2005: it was alleged: that a "Christian" woman ("Leslie Pinney") who wanted to appose the odd "promotion" of "homosexuality" in schools: was promptly the recipient of a letter from the "ADL": who asked her to "refrain from political appeals based on religious faith." (two words emboldened) ("Catholic Citizens of Illinois" (Catholic; Independent; American) 01 / 04 (April) / 2005). Such was seen as an attempt to keep "Christianity" out of public life.

 The "Anti-Defamation League" ("ADL") : also partook those attacking "World War II" "Catholic" Pope "Pope Pius XII": attempting to get the "Vatican" to cancel his Beatification: saying that the Late Pope had not done enough for "Jews" ("Against the Grain" (Catholic; Independent; American) 24 / 01 (January) / 2009 ). It was recently discovered: that "Pope Pius XII": feared that the "Nazis" would kidnap him: and set out the procedure: that if he was captured: that a new pope should be elected: many have praised him for his secret efforts which saved so "many" "Jews" during "World War II": the "ADL" was not among these.

The "Jewish" organization's "National Director": has also been noted as among those: attacking the reintroduction of the "Catholic" "Tridentine Mass": due to one prayer within it: calling for the "Salvation of the Jews": in "Latin".

The organization's ("American") "National Director": also attacked "Catholic" ecumenism: towards the "SSPX" ("Society of Pope Pius XII"), which rejects parts of "Vatican II".

"Catholic" Students: told to learn from their "older brothers and sisters in the faith" (quote):

At an only symbolic "Sedar" an event where "Catholic" school students and a "Jewish School" celebrated together: after "passover" actually occurred: "Archbishop Timothy Dolan" said that the "Catholic" Students should "learn", seemingly from the "Jewish" Students who were their "older brothers and sisters" (quote) in "the faith" (quote) ("AP": "Associated press" (American; Secular; Independent) 25 / 04 (April) / 2009 ): such is common "ecumenical" "politically correct language": however: "Catholic Students": could have interpreted it in saying their their "Faith" was inferior. That modern "Judaism" does not, in the opinion of many "Catholics": reflect the ancient "sacrificial" system any more than "Catholicism": its other main off-shoot, and that "Catholic" students, may consider, due to these remarks: that the "Jewish" religion is superior, could be seen as a concern by some "Catholics". In no place, according to research by "Scripturelink News": does "Catholic" doctrine: state that "Judaism" is superior to "Catholicism": in the "Catholic Faith": "Catholicism" is seen as superior to all other religions.

Archbishop officially apposes attempts to legalize "gay marriage"  in "New York":  but polite to advocates of "Abortion" and "Gay Marriage":

It was also noted that the "Archbishop": seemed to smile broadly: when greeting: ("New York Mayor") "Michael Bloomberg"and ("New York Governor") "David Paterson". Both support legalized abortion, and homosexual "Unions" ("Gay Marriage"). The "Archbishop": has promised, previously: at his "Cathedral": "Saint Patrick's": to fight efforts to legalize "Gay Marriage": in "New York".

The Effect of a friendly, "normal/average" "person": "archbishop" in "New York":

Statistics have shown: that more persons are attracted to the priesthood: by traditional means: than by making priests look ordinary, or "in touch" with "the times".

While gaining much media attention for the church: it is hoped by some: that this new, and in "New York" "tradition": "Irish" "Archbishop" of the "New York" "Archdiocese": will have a positive effect: in pushing "Catholic" values and increasing "Catholic" numbers. His own hope: is to enjoy being "Archbishop" as much as he said he had enjoyed being an average "priest", according to his speech on April 16th this month ("CNA": "Catholic news Agency" (Catholic; Independent; American) article hosted on "EWTN": "Eternal Word Television Network" (Catholic; Independent; Global (started in America)) 16 / 04 (April) / 2009).

South Africa: "ANC" several seats short of two thirds in "National Assembly": needed to change majority of Constitution

"ANC": short of two thirds majority in the "NA": "National Assembly": which section 74 of the "Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996" (previously known as act 108 of 1996): required to change the "Constitution" in general (there are also stipulations involving 6 out of 9 provinces or the like: which did not come into play this election):

With 65.89% ("Sixty-Five point eight-nine" percent)of the vote: the "ANC" ("African National Congress"): is crucially about 2 seats short of the 267 ("two hundred and sixty-seven") seats in the house of parliament known as the "NA" ("National Assembly"): that they would require in order to change most sections of the "Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996". So says "Eyewitness News": However it seems: from two other sources: that the "ANC": only has 264 of the 400 seats in the "NA": either way, all the agencies agree: they will not have the two thirds required to change the "Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996" (most recently amended by the "ANC" this year). According to "News24": the "ANC" has 126 seats in the provincial house of parliament.

The "DA": "Democratic Alliance": is set to be "South Africa"'s "Official Opposition", having additionally gained the "Western Cape":

The "Democratic Alliance": got about 16.66% ("Sixteen point sixty-six" percent) of the National vote: according to "News24", and has outright taken the "Western Cape": where they had previously taken its Capitol: "Cape Town". The "Western Cape": is one of "South Africa"'s 9 "Provinces", and as a province: has 1/9 ("one ninth") of the vote in the "NCOP" ("National Council of Province": one of the two houses of parliament in "South Africa"). According to "News24" this translates into 67 seats in the "NA", and 16 provincial seats. The "DA" got 51.33% ("Fifty-one an a third" percent) in the "Western Cape".

"COPE": "Congress of the People": gaining it's name from a gathering where the "ANC" (among others) gained its mandate during "Apartheid": an "ANC" offshoot: is set to be runner up to being "Official Opposition": in "South Africa": gaining the third largest percentage of votes:

Nationally, the third best fairing party was "COPE": "Congress of the People": with about 7.41% ("Seven point forty-one" percent)(according to "News24") of the vote for position in the "NA" ("National Assembly"). That gives them 30 seats in the "NA", and 16 in the provincial house of parliament: according to "News24".

Because of this, it seems that fledgling"COPE": is set to be runner up to the position of "Official Opposition", with the "DA" remaining the "Official Opposition".

"ANC" president "Jacob Zuma": is set to become "South Africa"'s next president: despite what many have called multiple "Clouds" hanging over his head: the "ANC" leader claims there isn't even "mist" over his head:

"Jacob Zuma", the "ANC"'s president since their party voted on leadership at "Polokwane": a proud polygamist, and populist, who openly admits to have commited what the west considers "adultery" (this during a rape trial, where he admitted to having sex with an HIV positive AIDS activist, who had unsuccessfully attempted to get him convicted on allegations of rape): is set to become "South Africa"'s next president.

Editorially: His multiple promises, according to observers: seem to contradict each other: often entirely.

Elections generally "Free and Fair": regional Observers:

On an editorial point: While there does not appear to have been high level vote rigging: within the "IEC" ("Independent Electoral Commission"), "Social Justice South Africa": would like to raise concern, over various anomalies during the electoral process.

Both "SADC" ("Southern African Development Community") and the "AU" ("African Union") have declared the 2009 "National Election" in "The Republic of South Africa" ("RSA"/ "ZAR") to be "free and fair".

"ANC" has lost support, this election:

While the "ANC" still gained a resounding victory: their reduction from 70% ("Seventy percent") of the vote for the "National Assembly" in 2004, where "Thabo Mbeki" became president: to 65.89%: and their reduction in votes in every province except "Kwazulu Natal" ("KZN"): means that they have significantly lost out since the previous elections.

Post-election Violence less likely due to "ANC" not getting two thirds (2/3rds) majority needed, in addition to their provincial numbers: in order to amend the "Bill of Rights" ("Chapter Two of the Constitution of the Republic of South Africa, 1996"):

Due to the results, as they are: there is less likely to be post-election violence in "South Africa": due to a perception of a victory of sorts: for all major players in this past election. "Members of Parliament": are set to be "Sworn in": on the 6th (Sixth) of the 5th month ("May") 2009. A not to enthusiastic "Jacob" Zuma", is currently reading a speech on television. The mooted president to be: has said he would unite opposition with his aims: an unfortunate promise, if one is to view past examples of such: which in the "United States of America": caused "Barak Obama"'s opponents to realize that it was and is more beneficial to obstruct his way, on most issues.

Some issues with the Press: (all do agree on the important point though):

While different press agencies are giving us different calculations of seats in the "NA", it does appear: the "ANC"'s previous over 2/3rds ("Two Thirds") majority days are over: 2 separate press agencies agree on 264. Another appeared to say the "ANC" had 265 seats: again: noting: it is not enough to gain the 2/3rds ("Two Thirds") required to change the constitution: in addition to their provincial support. The "Two Thirds" refers to the "NA" house of parliament, and not to the national vote: in order to institute changes to "Constitutional" sections/laws in general.

Ice melted, and slowly glittered, then sprinkled, and rippled: then flew from the surface, and as it did: there was ...sound ...noise, symphony of deadly scream.

The wolves howled: ...focussed on the moon.

And as they howled, the dripping blood stood still: the hunt had begun ...when had it ever ceased?

And yet: as we hear the fatal, primitive sound, some part wants to join in: howl at the moon: and shout at "Reality"; our God, that background on which all material exists.

Yet, what makes us diffeent, us few who seek the "Catholic" truth, what makes us unique: utterly different: we seek not only to howl at the "Moon" as most do: but rather: to fly up to be upon it, on our goodness alone, and on the moon's ...effect, and "truth" ...you see

... we who seek the near impossible: become better at all that is normal: ...sounding our reward:
the moon has been to earth: and we howl at him: our moon and sun: and we seek him out:
who died for us:
on a cross!

And yet, what of you: will you do the ...impossible,
... will you claim your reward, and jump, and catch the moon?

Journey IABW: How to become an apologist!

Recently, I was asked: "how can I defend my faith": to paraphrase the request: ...that is.

Now, as we somersault around apologetics, we must always remember to start at the beginning-

...do I really know "my" Faith?

You see, the biggest problem I encountered when I first entered apologetics: is the hegemony of the inaccurate perceptions of "Catholicism". This empire of heresy in everyday life: expands from children: to teenagers: even to religious orders, bishops and possibly cardinals. What one must do, if they want to enter apologetics; the science of giving answers about the faith in a truthful manner: is not learn their faith from others.

You see, we all have to get a "driver's license" to drive: personally, allot of us think that is often not the case in "South Africa"; but really, at least we got our licenses: but imagine learning to drive by watching other drivers?

You would learn to speed, and confuse persons at "circles": you would stop when meant to go, and probably Endanger other drivers.

One cannot learn the faith from those around them: especially in a "Catholic" country: such as "Ireland", or "France"(was): then where can one learn it?

You see: to teach the faith: one must firstly learn the faith: and other than the internet's best: where I learned most of my faith: despite serious problems in "South Africa": there is a cute little book: known as "The Catechism of the Catholic Church": don't get the compendium: it is useless for any deep questions, but the full book is highly specific, highly useful: and extremely "Orthodoxly" "Catholic": the global version of that: that is.

Secondly, get a good bible: with notes: how can you expect to understand a rough English translation: often ignoring tense, and the like: of a +-"2 000" ("Two Thousand") year old: dead language? More than that: a translation: of just one of the many secondary or tertiary or so-on copies of the original: spelling mistakes, and human error included.

The "New Jerusalem Bible": "Standard Edition" (buy the big one), "Douay Rheims" (get a good version of such), "Navarre Bible", or "Ignatius Bible" may be a "good" selection.

The word of "God": is "Jesus Christ": the bible is just a record of him, and other things useful to get us into heaven. That said: it was compiled by the "Catholic Church": at the "Council of Rome", "Hippo" etc: with the aid of the "Holy Spirit": and it's authors were serving "God" faithfully.

Those with more advanced interests: may be interested in "Ecumenical" (global) Councils: of the "Catholic" church: remembering that the likes of "Vatican II": are only infallible: so far as they relate to stating "Catholic" doctrine, and "Catholic" morals: the language in which the mass is said: generally being neither: such is pastoral.

Having formed your basis: remember: "Catholic Doctrine" and "Morals": will be "protected" by "God" until the times are all past. There is only one church which stands up to decay: and remains +-"2 000" ("Two Thousand") years: still actively teaching the word of "God", still having active structures to "insure" infallibility on certain issues (see acts 5 v 4 and acts 15: on infallibility).

Once you have your basis: start listening to/ reading some good pro-"life", pro-"family", pro-"pope", pro-"tradition", pro-"magisterium", pro-"bible" ("Catholic version) "Catholic" theologians: consider "Chesterton", or "Fulton Sheen": and perhaps discover the internet, and those who are more accurate there.

On this point: you have help: www.catholicculture.com: reviews many of the sites online on orthodoxy: and the "Scripturelink" search engine (our service): can search through all their best rated sites: as well as the best services online, or some better ones: as far as reviews go (we do from time to time exclude part or all of an internet site).

Finding interesting, or beneficial sites: can help in understanding issues one wants to cover: remember: "good" "Catholic" sites are not always excellent: but balance: and a desire for truth over most else: can help one. Much can also be gained: from using "Scripturelink"'s search features: after reading an entry in one of the better "Catholic" sites: to check up what is said. Many of the most popular "Catholic" sites online: are the most horrendous, and not all are noted as such on the likes of "Catholic Culture": or the like.

Once you know your faith: consider both direct, and indirect ways to promote it and its views: justifying views by it on multiple subjects: makes it more accessible: being honest about real faults: within the fallible ordinary church; helps.

Know also: enough history to justify it there, and always remember: you have the option of asking if you can research a topic: before coming back.

Remember: the "Imprimatur": is not the "symbol" of "Catholic" "Orthodoxy" it used to be: you need to find a "Catholic" source: that impresses you, and which genuinely seeks the good of the church: and not other external: corrupting means. Follow your intuition, and always make sure you know what point is being discusses: and be honest, especially if you do not know: but then decide: and inform: that you will find out: and use Scripturelink or the like: to verify claims.

If someone cannot back up their claims: remember: they have no power: any truthful statement for or against the faith: should be backed up in more than rumour, or opinion, or claims: one must be able to prove it. Don't accept anything without evidence: and always remember to follow the truth within you.

Remember: many have entered the "church", as though "Spies": in order to mislead us: stay with what "God" "guarantees": stay with the guidance of the Magisterium, and stay with the "miraculous effect" of the "7" ("Seven") Sacraments ("Pledges"/"Promises"): given us by God. Remember: both "Luther", and "Arius" were priests: don't listen when rank is pulled: listen to the raw truth: to the Magisterium: and remember: such is not what others say it is: read for yourself, know for yourself: we at "Scripturelink" also created a search engine to search the "Vatican II" council: itself, just as we created one to search the "Catechism": which isn't infallible: but extremely useful and generally "orthodox" to the teachings of the "Magisterium" of the "One Holy Catholic and Apostolic" "Roman Catholic" Church.

The likes of "EWTN", or the Vatican itself: also host such documents: but rather get to know the "Catechism" before the councils, and consider interacting on the likes of "Catholic Answer Forums": with others. Remember: your soul is your responsibility: and your conscience is to be guarded and made powerful by none other than you. Trust no-one, but trust "God" to get you through: with the relative trust we must give to others: and with the wise trust we must give to many: therefore: in trusting "God", trust others: in the right degree.

"Social Justice South Africa": some voters told: Vote ANC, or else? Voter intimidation, Tutu Votes, Mbeki Votes, Ballot shortage?, and other issues!

"News 24" has a story of proported voter intimidation in Limpopo:

Where a Chief ("Tshivhase") has purportedly told his "subjects": who to vote for to stay in his favor: he owns their land. "African Eye": whose story is hosted on  "News 24" claims that there were government officials ("agriculture MEC Dikeledi Magadzi and Limpopo premier Cassel Mathal") near the chief: who did nothing to contradict him.



There is a story out of East London: alleging that an election table: told an elderly lady to vote "ANC", and showed her to put a cross next to their party:

The "ANC", or their supporters: has frequently been questioned publicly by several sources: who have alleged things such as: taxpayer funded food for votes, or the like such as the above mentioned article: about a woman being told how to vote: which comes from the "South African Press Association". Comments by "Jacob Zuma" about the "Constitutional Court" (In "Braamfontein", "Johannesburg"): have raised fears for separation of powers, as have threats previously made against multiple "counter-revolutionaries": by members of the "ANC"'s three party alliance. Newspaper reports: claiming that the "ANC": is partly funded by the "Chinese" "Communist" party, amongs others: raised fears recently: when the "Dalai Lama" was refused a Visa into "South Africa": where he was expected to speak at a peace conference.

Meanwhile: "Desmond Tutu", who had said he would not vote, as a show of no confidence to the "ANC": has voted: it is unsure whether or not the controversial "Anglican" retired "Clergyman" voted for the ruling party. "Desmond Tutu" has previously supported the pro-"homosexual unions", radically pro-abortion party. His lack of clarification on his vote, could suggest either saving face: or a vote for an opposition party.

The "ANC" is predicted to win this election, however: this year, there is question of whether or not they will still be able to consistently change the constitution as they have done: even into 2009. The leader of the "ANC": has promised not to "abuse" his power, and has noted: that the economic climate may prevent him delivering on seemingly unrealistic election promises.

Meanwhile: the "IEC": "Independent Electoral Board":

has noted some irregularities:

Results are expected to be released on Thursday, around midday. More than in previous elections: there are fears of violence from multiple sources, due to how hotly contested, and emotive these elections have been. Extra security forces were deployed in "KwaZulu Natal": due to election fears: and "South Africa" is quite divided over these elections. What is feared more, by some sources: most: is not simply the elections, but what happens afterwards. There has also been a situation, where pre-marked ballot papers were discovered, by a "DA" Representative, there was apparently action taken.


"Thabo Mbeki", "South Africa"'s previous democratically elected president (disposed of by the "ANC": and replaced by "Motlante" (under whom the head of prosecution against "Jacob Zuma" was fired: his acting successor dropped the corruption case) before the election): also refused to say who he voted for. There were apparently not enough ballot papers available: which the "IEC" puts down to large turnout: however such lack could be concerning for credibility: there were certainly temporary shortages reported by news: apparently some voters had to wait several hours for ballot papers to arrive, after the papers were allegedly finished off. The "IEC": said such is due to the organizers not expecting so many "Special" voters yesterday, but later blamed it on the thickness of the paper: that there were not enough boxes, and noted that they knew of no shortage of ballot papers:

Prior the elections, "Facbook" has also been a busy buzz of activity's place: those apposing "Jacob Zuma": have created ton after ton of "Facebook" groups. "Jacob Zuma": is likely to be the divisive next president of "South Africa": he is also likely to be loved by his supporters and disliked by his enemies: already: the taxpayer has spent millions on his protection: something odd: for someone who was not holding office at the time.

What makes these issues of interest: is that the "IEC": has usually appeared to have things under control. Yesterday, "IEC" officials looked almost angry as they gave a press conference. They noted that there was use of brown boxes in the place of voters' boxes at times, and blamed part of the alleged problem on the amount of parties partaking, and an allowance made: that people could vote at stations they had not registered at.

As to an interesting foreign view: "Canada"'s "Globe and Mail": makes their summary of the "R"SA situation: saying also: that "Zuma" is an ex-"Communist Party" member:

Southern Cross' Editor in Chief's: attack on "Catholic Culture"/"Trinity Communications", and "South African Catholic", both of which criticized the w

The "Southern Cross": is a "catholic" weekly sold in "Southern African" "Catholic" Parishes. The "Southern African Catholic Bishops' Conference" ("SACBC"): does have partial control of it: in "South Africa" their parishes sell the paper in churches around the country, where priests advertise the paper: to parishioners. "Cardinal Wilfred Napier": noted to us, in a 2008 email conversation: that the "Southern Cross": has what he called: an "anti-magisterial bias": and often portrays the views of the "world", rather than those of the "Church": we have published the email: here (">Cardinal Napier's response to concerns over the Southern Cross).

Editor of the "Southern Cross": "Southern Cross" has been around for 88 years. Reader of an article in his paper is "Wrong" to ask for an external source other than the views of the "Southern Cross".

Reader links to an article by "South African Catholic": noting the "Southern Cross"'s status as noted by "Catholic Culture"/"Trinity Communications".

"Gunther Simmermacher": calls "South African Catholic": a "joke" of a site, and "paranoid", and like a "Valentine"'s day teddy: ironically siting mention of "seemless garment" approach to abortion: which "Catholic Culture": not our own organization had criticized the "Southern Cross" for: the "Southern Cross was supporting a radically pro-abortion politician via such statements.





Via email: "Gunther": editor of the "Southern Cross": had previously given "South African Catholic" full permission to criticize them positively, or critically. The "Southern Cross": also sidesteps the issues, and evidence noted by "Catholic Culture", by attacking the sources of criticism.

Reader of "Southern Cross": asks how the "Southern Cross" can be the only authority, and questions the actions of the Editor.

"Southern Cross" editor: says that the "Mitchel's Plain" church's priest has "banned" his paper: in response to the viewer of the article raising a banning of the "Southern Cross": the editor then goes on to say that the choice by the said pastor: was against the views of his bishop.




The "Southern Cross" has been internationally lambasted by Catholic Media, including "Trinity Communications"/"Catholic Culture": for their support of radically pro-abortion politicians, their conistent attacks on Vatican policy, their position on contraception, etc. They have also got a habit, according to "Cardinal Wilfred Napier": of the "Archdiocese of Durban": who replied (click here to view) to an email from our service: publishing letters against the church. The Cardinal also claims they have an anti-magisterial bias. The Magisterium is the "Infallible": doctrine of the church.
