Compilation by Marc Aupiais

Sometimes giving summaries of what the "secular" "press" will show you (sometimes adding our own comments): we have linked to some stories which may be of interest: note our caution at the bottom of this post, and scroll down on the linked to page: http://sites.google.com/site/catholicaffiliates/see-what-we-see--news-archives    ; to see our disclaimers on information we base of "IOL", and on "News24", as well as on links to both of these services independently.

"South Africa: "Mob Justice" returns, "3 000" ("Three Thousand") adherents in crowd, which throws stones at police, after "assaulting", and "stoning" "2" ("two") men, in the "Duncan Village", "Eastern Cape", "South Africa"! The two men, were suspected by the crowds, as criminals.

"Police" used "rubber bullets", and "stun grenades". It is suspected, according to "IOL", that this really is "Mob justice", that the crowds, were spurred on by "Gangsters", trying to remove rivals!

"11" ("Eleven") "Mob Members" (people in the crowd of "attackers") arrested (aged "16" - "60"), "5" persons taken to hospital for treatment of injuries: incurred, in alleged "stone throwing" and, events caused by "police" response.

"ACDP" ("African Christian Democratic Party"), upset, as "DA" ("Democratic Alliance"), removes their ("ACDP") candidate from "Deputy Mayor" position in "Cape Town". "DA" spokesman: "Robert Macdonald", thinks it is necessary politically.

"DA" "Leader", "Helen Zille", has accused the "ACDP" provincial leader: "Pauline Cupido", of colluding against the "DA", with unnamed (in "IOL"'s article) other parties, during the recent election. "Helen Zille", is also reported as unsettled, that "Pauline Cupido", did not vote for her to be premier, of the "Western Cape".

"Grant Haskin", an "ACDP" politician, who currently holds the "Deputy Mayor" post, said he felt the "city caucus"("IOL"), was being "unfairly" ("IOL") "punished" ("Haskin", as quoted in "IOL").

He says:

""The ball is in the DA's court to substantiate and clarify the trust breakdown. It is not a caucus trust issue. We are taking it extremely seriously and are not going to be the fall guys," " (quoted from IOL).

The "ACDP", supports a "Death Penalty", "Corporal Punishment" in schools, and desires to ban abortion in "South Africa". The "DA" is apposed to the first two, but has no official position on "Abortion" (allowing their "Members of Parliament", a free vote).

"Helen Zille", claims that the future of the "ACDP", in the "Cape Town" coalition, would be discussed at a "Council Meeting", on Wednesday.
